BUS ROUTES AND TOURS DURING MUSEUM NIGHT

This year, seven excursions or bus tours will take place in Harju County, Pärnu County, Ida-Viru County,
Lääne-Viru County and Viljandi County.

Pre-registration, registration information or ticket purchase required for the excursions are listed separately for each excursion.

Bus trips are possible thanks to the county expert groups of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia
and the initiative of museums.

HARJUMAA

Bus tour between the Estonian War Museum and the Viimsi Open Air Museum.
The bus runs between both museums every half hour from 18:00-23:00.

Start at 16:00 from Kostivere Cultural Estate. The return trip starts approximately at 19:00. If there are no people getting off in Kostivere, the only way to get off is in Loo.
Each stop has 30 minutes of visiting and discovery time.
Stops: Kostivere Cultural Estate, Rebala Central Museum, Jägala Falls Information Café, Swedish-Kallavere Village Museum. The guide is Jõelähtme guide Kadri Prants.

Bus tour “Journey with Amandus” – register here
Start at 17:30 from the Keila Church parking lot, the entire tour lasts approximately 3 h 15 min.
A joint program dedicated to the sculptor Amandus Adamson will run on the Keila-Paldiski-Keila route. During the bus ride, you will hear more about Adamson’s life and work. The Amandus Adamson Studio Museum will host an audio journey through the sculptor’s life, while the Harju County Museum will host a visit to the Amandus Adamson anniversary exhibition “Amandus 170” and an introduction to old record players.

IDA-VIRU COUNTY

Bus route Sillamäe-Sinimäe-Narva-Narva-Jõesuu-Sillamäe
The bus travels between museums in different cities, schedule below. There is no need to register for the bus. The bus is coordinated by the MotoNurk Museum.

14:00–15:00
Sillamäe Museum – Sinimäe (stop for getting off and on at the Sinimäge Museum) – Narva-Jõesuu (stop for getting off and on at the COOP store) – Narva (stop at the MotoNurk Museum Art Gallery).

18:30–19:00 Narva, MotoNurk Museum – Narva-Jõesuu (1st stop near the Narva-Jõesuu Lighthouse at the COOP store, 2nd stop near the Local History Museum or Meresuu Spa & Hotel).

20:00–21:00 Narva-Jõesuu (start from Meresuu Spa & Hotel, stop near the lighthouse or COOP store) – Narva (stop for getting off and on at the MotoNurk museum) – Sinimäe (stop for getting off and on at the Sinimäge museum) – Sillamäe Museum.

21:40–22:10 Sillamäe Museum – Narva (stop at the Alexander Church)

LÄÄNE-VIRU COUNTY

Bus excursion Rakvere-Sagritsa Museum-Palmse Manor-Rakvere – register here
(ticket 2€ includes Museum Night entrance to both museums)
Start at 18:00 from the Rakvere Maxima parking lot.
Led by historian Uno Trumm, the museum branches that are difficult to get to by public transport will be visited – Sagritsa Museum in Karepal and Palmse Manor.

PÄRNU COUNTY

Bus tour Pärnu-Tori-Kurgja-Pärnu – register here
Starts at 5 pm from the Lydia Koidula Museum in Pärnu, approximate duration approx. 3 h 30 min.
The Pärnu County Museum Night bus tour takes visitors to the sources of Estonian cultural history and to the museums of important agricultural promoters. The Tori Horse Farm and the Jakobson Farm Museum in Kurgja will be visited.

VILJANDI COUNTY

Bus tour Viljandi-Hüpassaare – register here
Starts at 5:30 pm from the Viljandi Museum.
The Viljandi Museum is organizing a bus trip (ticket 6 euros, also includes Museum Night admission to the house museum) from Viljandi to Hüpassaare, where the composer Mart Saar’s house museum is located, where the concert will start at 7 pm.
